In 1961, Jenn-Air introduced the first self-ventilated
cooktop. As Jenn-Air became well noted for it's
high quality products, the company expanded its product
line to include microwave ovens, refrigerators,
dishwasher, and even small appliances, such as mixer and
blenders.
The Jenn-Air Company was later acquired by the Maytag
Company and in 2006 became a part of the Whirlpool
Corporation when Whirlpool acquired Maytag.
